I believe in the power of story and I am passionate about helping brand’s identify and tell their story in a meaningful way that drives action.
I graduated from Southern Methodist University with a degree in Corporate Communications with a nonprofit emphasis and double minors in Business and Spanish. I have experience at industry-leading brands such as Southwest Airlines and Hitlon coupled with global agency experience. I’ve worked with B2C and B2B companies as well as nonprofits on all aspects of content creation and execution.
I started my career at Southwest Airlines where I spent five years in a number of different roles including as a founding member of SWA’s social care team to assistant manager of the signature community impact project, Heart of the Community. Most recently, I managed all internal and external communication campaigns for community outreach initiatives. My job was to tell stories about how our company was impacting local communities through partnerships, grants and volunteerism. I forged relationships with nonprofit partnerships, inspired and measured employee volunteerism and clearly measured and communicated our company’s efforts to executive leadership.
Following Southwest, I was offered an opportunity at a global agency, Golin, to build out social impact programs for their clients, including Texas Instruments, Massage Envy, Essilor and more. In my role, I trail-blazed clients’ corporate social responsibility (CSR) programs across the global from US to India to China. I helped clients identify the “red thread” throughout their programs and ensure this thread was strategically woven throughout all internal and external communications. In some cases, I brainstormed with the client on what this thread could be and then built programs around this vision. Additionally, I managed content marketing campaigns for clients, including managing social media accounts, launching paid social campaigns and amplifying our message on internal channels.
Most recently, I managed five different social media channels for Hilton Worldwide, including Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook and Snapchat. In my roles, I managed a tribe of 40+ employee social ambassadors. I trained these employees - including executive leaders- on social media best practices in order to grow channel content engagement. I created processes for content development, educating our stakeholders and uploading enterprise key messages, all while orchestrating employees voices to tell a cohesive and impactful story about Hilton’s employer brand.
